Been getting some requests to do a step-by-step of my drawing process. So, here’s a gif showing the general process of a creature comic I did.
It doesn’t show the actual brushes and layers and such, but I go into that a bit with my ‘Ben Draws’ videos. The actual brushes vary from situation to situation though, and are mostly personal taste, so I just suggest experimenting until you find something you like.
Been looking at my archive. I drew this around this time last year. Nice to be able to see where I’ve improved, and also noticing some places I still need to improve.
This is more of a note-to-self post. But, enjoy this creature comic again. :)
Finally. Sorry to those who were enjoying this ‘series’ and had to deal with not seeing it for a while. I’m going to try to keep this up and pump these out fairly regularly. I also apparently need to decide on a color scheme, since it changes from page to page.
I still need a proper name for it. But, here’s a sneak peak at the next comic page. Things are (hopefully) starting to get interesting. Going to try to finish the page shortly.
This is partly practice for me, since I’ve never done anything with an on-going story before.
